 Peter Liversidge in the quiet June 13th – July 10th
Private View Thursday 12th June 6pm-8pm the third space is delighted to present an exhibition of new work by Peter Liversidge. Liversidge has worked in almost every conceivable medium, including drawing, performance, painting, sculpture, installation and performances. In this exhibition Peter will show a series of polaroid photographs taken in Belfast Zoo which in turn are part of a larger series of similar polaroids taking in Zoos throughout Europe, including Barcelona and Berlin. Peters Barcelona polaroid series are currently being exhibited at Ingleby Gallery, Edinburgh. Ingleby Gallery have also presented a new project by Liversidge as part of Art Unlimited for Art 39 Basel. Titled simply Fruit Trees for Basel, Peter Liversidge has planted three varieties of English Apple trees in public and private locations in and around Basel. These plantings have been photographed, and will be shown in their “before” and “after” states during the Fair itself. Forthcoming projects include contributions to Cancelled Erased & Removed at the Sean Kelly Gallery, New York this summer, and The Fifth Floor at Tate Liverpool from December 2008 – February 2009.
