Mary McIntyre Veil. October 19th - November 17th The subject of landscape has been a core element in Mary McIntyre's recent work. This new body of photographic work further extends the role of landscape as subject by exploring elements of natural phenomena and our perceptions of them in order to examine the relationship between the individual and nature. In this work the emphasis of landscape shifts, so that nature itself becomes a site, an object that has been re-constructed.
Mary McIntyre lives and works in Belfast and has exhibited extensivly throughout Ireland, UK, Europe and America. Her work is held in private, corporate and public collections including; University of Ulster, British Telecommunications Belfast, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and The Verdutte Institute Amsterdam.
